About JPL
JPL is located in downtown Dallas across the street from Farmers Market and the Scottish Rite Cathedral.
Today, JPL is working to create the most informative and progressive training programs for the benefit of our Entered Apprentices and Fellowcrafts. JPL created the first regularly scheduled EA and FC lodges so that our members who are not Master Masons can participate in the lodge and learn the procedures and practices that they will need to know when they sit in a Master Masons lodge. Additionally, JPL is developing a more formal training program for our officers and abandoning the older method of learning as you go.
As you walk down the hallway and into the ante-room of JPL you will notice several things about it that are in contrast to what you might expect to find. First, you will notice that many of our officers and members are young. A few years ago the Past Masters and Master of the lodge decided that they wanted to revitalize the lodge and they were willing to make certain changes to make that happen. The first step in the revitalization process was finding a few energetic young Masons who didn't mind a challenge.
Secondly, the lodge was willing to let the younger members do what was needed to make the lodge a more attractive place for our young members. At JPL you will often see our newest members being placed into prominent positions to facilitate their development. Our members don't sit on the sidelines. They are expected to to participate and are given the training and the opportunity to do the jobs previously reserved for long time members.
The officers of JPL are committed to preparing the lodge for the opportunities that lay ahead, and to fostering the feeling of fun and fellowship that we have developed. If you are interested in improving yourself and working with a group of young and enthusiastic professionals, please come to visit us and see if JPL is the right lodge for you.
We look forward to seeing you!
